James Smith (left) and his wife Janette Basset of Burgess Hill, Sussex. The owner of the photo, RTFHS member Gill Capon-Browning, says that they were cane chair bottomers and dealers as well as dealing in horses and would go out hawking with their horse and cart every day at 10am.
