Transcribed by Janet Keet-Black

A4 PDF documents for digital download

These PDF downloads contain transcriptions, rather than indexes, of information extracted from various 1891 census returns, and are presented in an “as enumerated” format. As such, the researcher will be able to discover which families were travelling together.

Entries include people identified as Gypsies, Travellers, Tramps, Vagrants, Fairground Showmen and women, Circus people, Canal Boat people and Travelling Theatre people. Surname indexes are included in all volumes.

There are four volumes in the series, originally published in printed book form by the RTFHS between 2000 and 2002.
