Here you’ll find historic photos mainly of British Romany families that have been professionally colourised and enhanced. The collection includes what are believed to be the earliest photos ever taken of Romanies in Britain. Dating from 1855-1859, they are six group shots of members of the Lee family in Epping Forest, Essex, the work of pioneering photographer William Morris Grundy.
