Interested in the lives of the fairground women who travelled with steam fairs in the West Country?
A new exhibition opens today – 23 June 2021 – that celebrates the histories of five of them through the medium of fairground sign-writing, created by artist Amy Goodwin.
Called “Fragments of Five Fairground Females”, the exhibition is being held at Cecil Sharp House in Camden, North London, the home of the English Folk Dance and Song Society. Entrance is free but you need to book an appointment in advance. It is on until 13 September 2021.
