Did a member of your family die during service with the Commonwealth forces during the First World War 1914-1918?
A new community project gives you the chance to commemorate their life with fabric and thread during 2014.
We hear that the plan is to produce a quilt made up of squares embroidered with the names of your ancestors or those in your local community who gave their lives. The organisers will provide you with a pack containing the pre cut square of fabric and thread and detailed instructions in return for a small donation. All profits will go to two military charities: Help For Heroes and the Q4IS – Quilts for Injured Soldiers.
