From Friday 12 December 2014, the Probate Service will make will records for England and Wales from 1858 to the present-day available to search online here.
We understand that you’ll be able to search the name indexes free and then order copies of wills direct from your own computer at a cost of £10 each. You’ll then be alerted by email when your order is ready for you to download.
As a result of the launch of the new online search and ordering service, the London Probate Search Room in High Holborn, London, will close permanently on 19 December 2014.
