If you’re thinking about ordering an English or Welsh birth certificate or a death certificate from the Government’s GRO site, now is a good time to do it.
That’s because for the next three months, the GRO is running a pilot scheme whereby you can buy a certificate in PDF format, delivered by email, for the cost of £6.00. That’s a £3.25 saving on the usual cost of buying an official paper certificate.
The certificates available for this pilot are:
- Births – 1837-1916
- Deaths – 1837 – 1957
