Please come along and say ‘Hello’ to the RTFHS team at the Gloucestershire Family History Society’s Open Day in Gloucester on Saturday 7 November 2026.

We’ll be pleased to hear about your Romany, Traveller, Fairground or Circus ancestors and give you any help and guidance we can with your family history research. On this occasion, we won’t have our usual bookstall with us as team-members are travelling to the event by public transport. But there’ll be a small selection of RTFHS Family Tree publications for you to look at. (You can find information about the complete range and how to order on this page of this site.

We understand that a number of other family and local history groups from this area will be at the event and Gloucestershire Archives will be providing displays and behind-the-scenes tours. Dr Sophie Kay is the keynote speaker and there will be DNA advice sessions too.

The organisers haven’t put any information about the event on their website yet. We’ll add a link here when they do.
