New book about the Ayres family by Tony Dixon Posted January 17, 2014 by Web Master

If you’re researching the Ayres, Smith and Hearn families in the South Midlands, here’s another vital addition for your library.

But for Further Evidence – A Continuing History of William Ayres, Gypsy, 1806-1872 is the latest book from RTFHS member Tony Dixon. It’s a follow-up volume to Tony’s book But for a Little More Evidence – a Family History of William Ayres, Gypsy, 1806-1872. And in this Tony provides us with new information about William Ayres’ father, also a William, and members of his extended family. There are also further connections with the Smith and Hearn families who travelled through and lived in the central counties of England. About a third of the book covers the building of a beautiful bowtop living wagon, illustrated with black and white photos.

To order your copy of the new book, head to our Publications page today. Tony’s first book is available there too.
