Meet the RTFHS team at this free event that celebrates the Black Patch Romany community. It’s on Sunday 26 July 2015 from 11am until 4pm at the Soho Foundry Tavern, Foundry Lane, Smethwick B66 2LL. We’ll be selling our publications and will be pleased to answer your family history questions.
As part of the day’s activities, we hear from the organiser, local historian Ted Rudge, that a new memorial to the community will be unveiled in Black Patch Park next to the Tavern, to mark the Romanies’ important place in the history of this part of Birmingham.
