The British Film Institute (BFI) have just launched a new free website where you can view thousands of old documentary films about British life, dating from the past 120 years.
One example, dating from 1951, shows a number of fairs and the Fairground families who attended them, including Mitcham and Stratford’s Mop Fair, as well as the Blackpool Pleasure Beach
And please let us know if you find other films on the site that would be of interest to RTFHS members.
