Interested in the Gypsy families who once lived in the New Forest? There’s another opportunity to learn more about them with the help of The Hither Side of the Hedge, a lively performance featuring the songs, dances and stories that the Gypsiologist Alice Gillington collected from the New Forest Gypsies in the early 1900s.
It takes place on Saturday 17 September 2016 at 7pm at Thorney Hill Church, presented by Simon Harmer, Jo Harmer, Deb Lewis, Janet Keet-Black, Peter Ingram and Jigfoot. Tickets and more information are available from Ingrid on 01425 673092. Our thanks to Janet, the RTFHS Honorary Vice President, for alerting us to this new performance.
