ScotlandsPeople – the Government-owned genealogy website for everyone with Scottish ancestors – has just relaunched with a brand new look and improved search features.
For the first time, searches of Scottish civil registration indexes for births, marriages and deaths are free. You only have to pay if you want to take a look at or download the original document. And searches generally will be faster and easier, no matter what device you’re using: smartphone, tablet or desktop computer.
