Black Patch Romanies event, Smethwick – RTFHS attending

Jul

24

Time: 11am until 4pm
Location: Soho Foundry Tavern, Foundry Lane, Smethwick B66 2LL

Come along and meet the RTFHS team at the annual Black Patch Romanies event, organised by Birmingham local historian and Gypsy history expert Ted Rudge. We’ll have RTFHS publications for sale and will be pleased to answer your Romany, Traveller and Fairground family history questions. So please bring along your family trees and photos.

We understand from Ted Rudge that RTFHS member Josie Tombs and her husband Bill will also be attending with displays about the research they have undertaken into most of the Romany families who lived at Black Patch and the surrounding area.

Josie is also the author of two of the titles in the RTFHS series of Family Tree books: one on the Smiths and associated families of Black Patch and one on the family of Major and Susanna Lovell. Read more about them and how to order here.
