There’s an exhibition about the history of St Boswells Fair at St Boswells Public Hall, St Boswells, near Melrose in the Scottish Borders, from 18-20 July 2014.

The Fair was a popular meeting point and trading place for the Gypsies of Scotland, northern England and Ireland in times past and The Hawick Heritage Hub will have displays on show about these annual visitors to the area.

Opening times for the exhibition are: Friday 18 July and Sunday 20 July – 1.00pm until 4.00pm; and Saturday 19 July – 1.00pm until 7.00pm.

Our thanks to Davina Smart of the Borders Family History Society for letting us know.
