Tracing your WW1 ancestors: new guide added to our site Posted September 12, 2014 by Web Master

To mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War and commemorate the lives of the thousands of Romany, Traveller and Fairground men and women who served their country, we’ve added a new page to our site to help you find out more about the lives and experiences of your family members in the period 1914-1918.

It includes historic sources, books and website links not just for the people who joined the Armed Services but also for those involved in the war effort on the Home Front.

And if you have WW1 photos and useful sources you’d like us to add, please contact the RTFHS Web Master at enquiries[at]rtfhs.org.uk.
