There’s a meeting on Sunday 6 September 2015 at Eastwood, Essex, for everyone who’s interested in the many Gypsy families who used to live on the Bohemia Estate.

The meeting is at the Church Hall of St Laurence & All Saints Church in Eastwood from 12 noon until 5.00pm. There’s a £1.00 entry fee.

There will be photos, certificates, newspaper cuttings, documents and maps on show plus the chance to meet other descendants of families whose surnames include Allum, Bibby, Boswell, Buckley, Chillcott, Gumble, Lee, Livermore, Lamb, Loveridge, Pearce, Scarrott, Spencer, Shaw and Webb.

The organiser advises people coming by car to park at the Church itself and then take the 5-minute walk back to the Hall. The Church address is: St Laurence & All Saints Church, Junction of Aviation Way and Eastwoodbury Lane
, Eastwood, Southend-on-Sea
SS2 6UN.

And also take the opportunity to explore the churchyard itself where you’ll find many fine monuments to the people of the Bohemia Estate Gypsy community.
