Findmypast.co.uk, the commercial genealogy website, have just launched a large collection of parish register entries for the county of Wiltshire. They comprise transcriptions of baptisms, marriages, burials and marriage banns extracted from parish registers by the Wiltshire Family History Society.
They include:
- Baptisms, 1530-1917 – a total of 2 million entries
- Marriages 1538-1933 – a total of nearly 1 million
- Burials 1538-1991 – nearly 1.5 million
The indexes can be searched free and the transcriptions accessed on a subscription basis.
