Be sure to be with us on Saturday 12 May 2018 at the Raven Hotel in Hook, Hampshire, where we are holding the RTFHS annual conference.
This year we have experts talking on subjects that include how to use inquests and coroners’ reports in your family history; where the fairground calendar used to take your travelling showfolk in times past; and the amazing story of the young woman with West Country Gypsy roots who had a career as an equestrienne at Astley’s Ampitheatre Circus before marrying one of the richest aristocrats in England.
The event is free for RTFHS members and £5 for non-members. But if you join the RTFHS on the day you can pay just £10 (a special once-off discount of £2 on the usual annual membership fee) and enter free! Early booking is advised to avoid disappointment as places are limited. Find out more and how to reserve your place here.
